Our Giant Step!

We thought we had found something unique (I guess we’ve all done that at times) when we first began meeting to discuss, make plans, and take action with all the knowledge we were acquiring. Unique or not; we still were discovering the power of masterminding for ourselves.

Our regular meetings made an immediate difference, our businesses were getting better and the pace was accelerating. We grew in confidence, began enjoying more what we were doing, and increasing our income – all this and at first it was just the two of us!

It started as a simple idea – ‘let’s get together for a coffee, I don’t know where it will go, but we seem to have a lot in common’. Little did we know that we had just made a small step towards, what would become a way of life for not only ourselves, but also others who shared a like-minded attitude.

Within a couple of months Beyond Excellence was born because we needed a name for what we were doing. For us we knew that it was all about the journey, being better tomorrow than we were yesterday. Beyond Excellence was about setting goals and working towards them, and then resetting the goals once more. It wasn’t just about business either; it was about who we were, and who we wanted to be.As we grew as individuals, others noticed the change, got curious and wanted to be involved, we were all looking for something sustainable, a way to share our expertise and experience and to challenge us to take action.

With more people involved there had to be systems and processes, and a structure began evolving and those early roundtables were very similar to what we have today.It was a while before we discovered the Napoleon Hill classic ‘Think & Grow Rich, in chapter ten he talks about the secret to wealth: Masterminding, and Hill went on to describe exactly what we were doing.

And we thought we were unique!
